The Calcasieu Parish Housing Counseling Agency in conjunction with the City of Lake Charles Community Development Department are offering a free informational session on fair housing practices. The outreach session will take place Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Multipurpose Center located on 2001 Moeling Street in Lake Charles.

The information focuses on Fair Housing Laws that prohibit discrimination and how the outward appearance of discrimination has changed. Fair Housing Laws prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, family status and disability.

This session is free to individuals, landlords, tenants, property owners, community groups and housing providers.
