Special Service Districts

As per state law, the Police Jury has the authority to appoint special districts, boards, commissions, etc. for the purpose of providing specific services for a designated area within the Parish.

Each Special Service District is an independent governing body. Each is appointed by elected officials and oversees specific functions in a community, such as drainage or recreation.
