The Office of Juvenile Justice Services provides rehabilitative services and secure confinement to Calcasieu Parish juvenile offenders under 18 years of age.

In addition, programs and services for juveniles and families provide early intervention with youth at risk of entering the criminal justice system, and coordination of services designed to increase family functioning. Probation officers provide services for the Fourteenth Judicial District Court and Family and Juvenile Court, including the intake/ screening of all referrals and supervision of juvenile offenders. Each year over 2000 young people, ages 5-18, and their families receive services through one of the divisions.
