The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Human Services Department, Calcasieu Council on Aging and Lake Area Medical Center Senior Circle are hosting “A Day in the Park” to celebrate Older Americans Month which took place in May. The fun kicks off at 9:00 a.m. and continues through 1:00 p.m. at Prien Lake Park’s Indian Bay Pavillion, Friday, June 13th, 2014.
Seniors can participate in a ½ mile walk, bean bag baseball, washer pitch, bolo golf, card games and dominoes. Calcasieu residents are invited to participate in activities while enjoying live music, grilled hot dogs and fellowship with other seniors.
