Fair Housing Fun Day
The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Housing Department invites Calcasieu residents to bring the whole family to their Fair Housing Fun Day. Parents can get tips on topics like the benefits of using a real estate agent and ways to make a home energy efficient. Kids will be able to play in a central location while parents meet with a wide variety of local vendors. Door prizes will also be given away throughout the day.
Booths will include a variety of representatives from Allstate, State Farm, Southwest Louisiana Continuum of Care, City of Lake Charles Community & Development Department, Ingle Safari Real Estate, USDA Rural Development, Jeff Davis Bank, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Planning Department and Project Build a Future. The Fair Housing Fun Day is being held during National Fair Housing month. Every April, Fair Housing month brings awareness to the passage of the Federal Fair Housing Act.
