The Workforce Development Board of Calcasieu Parish is hosting the Ability Works Regional Employer Summit to answer employer questions about guidelines, compliance, laws and more. Featured speakers will share lessons learned on recruiting, hiring and retaining people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Attendees will be provided with a diverse range of hiring information from local, state and federal perspectives. There is no charge to attend and employers will also receive a complimentary lunch.
The Ability Works Regional Employer Summit will be held at the Calcasieu Business & Career Solutions Center on September 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The 2015 Ability Works Regional Employer Summit is sponsored by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury in conjunction with the Workforce Development Board and the Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Disability Employment Initiative.
