– Calcasieu Parish senior citizens are invited to learn more about scams, identity theft, cybersecurity and other types of fraud at “Lunch and Learn,” which will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Allen P. August Annex Building, 2001 Moeling St., Lake Charles.
The event is hosted by Calcasieu Parish TRIAD, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s Human Services Department, and Merchants and Farmers Bank. Lunch will be provided.
One in five seniors has been a victim of some type of fraud and senior citizens are the most commonly targeted group. During this event, seniors will learn about the latest scams, cybersecurity tips and how to avoid identity theft and other types of fraud.
