Calcasieu Parish senior citizens who have questions about Medicare are invited to the upcoming “Lunch and Learn” workshop, which will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Allen P. August Annex Building, 2001 Moeling St., Lake Charles.

Bonnie Lee of Humana Insurance is the featured guest speaker. She will explain the different types of Medicare coverage and supplement plans, tips on reducing out-of-pocket expenses and the latest scams.

More than 800,000 Louisiana residents are currently enrolled in Medicare.

The event is hosted by Calcasieu Parish TRIAD and the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s Human Services Department. Lunch will be provided.
