Calcasieu Parish senior citizens who have questions about Medicare are invited to the upcoming “Lunch and Learn” workshop, which will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the Allen P. August Annex Building, 2001 Moeling St., Lake Charles.
Representatives from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and Peoples Health insurance companies will discuss the different types of Medicare coverage and supplement plans, tips on reducing out-of-pocket expenses, the latest scams and what changes in coverage to expect in 2020.
More than 856,000 Louisiana residents are currently enrolled in Medicare.
The event is hosted by Calcasieu Parish TRIAD and the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s Human Services Department. Lunch will be provided.
