Identity theft can happen to anyone. According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reported cases of identity theft
skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic, making 2020 the worst year in history for identity theft. Reduce your
chances of becoming the next victim; protect your identity by shredding sensitive documents.
Better Business Bureau® serving Southwest Louisiana Foundation is offering a free community SHRED FEST. This event
will take place on Saturday, June 5, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm in the parking lot of Albertsons located at 4060 Ryan
Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605.
There is no charge for this event. Southwest Louisiana residents can bring up to 3 boxes of documents to be
commercially shredded on-site. Paper must be dry and free of mold and mildew. Any documents that are spiral-bound
will not be accepted.
Shred Fest will be a safe and easy drive-thru event with volunteers removing your boxes of paper from your vehicle.
This event is brought to you by BBB serving Southwest Louisiana Foundation. Additional sponsors include Entergy, First
Federal Bank of Louisiana, Mayo Land Title Co., and Louisiana Mortgage Associates. Special thanks to Albertsons for
