All Calcasieu Parish Police Jury departments will be closed Friday, June 17, for Juneteenth Day. Offices will reopen on Monday, June 20.
The United States Congress previously enacted legislation recognizing Juneteenth Independence Day, and the Louisiana Legislature recognized Juneteenth Day as a legal holiday in Louisiana beginning in 2021. Gov. John Bel Edwards has issued a proclamation closing all state offices on June 17 in observance of the holiday.

The Residential Solid Waste Convenience Centers in Lake Charles and Sulphur will be open Friday June 17 and Parish Transit services will operate on its normal schedule.
