The American Job Center - Region V will host a free Resource Fair to share information on all the resources available to residents for job placement and education from 9 a.m.-noon on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the Allen P. August Annex Building, 2000 Moeling St., in Lake Charles.
Residents are invited to attend to find out about all of the American Job Center’s available programs and services. It provides a comprehensive range of useful career and employment services, job training and up-to-date information – with the goal of helping program participants find jobs and careers.
In addition, residents can also learn about resources available through such partners as Louisiana Rehabilitative Services, the Literacy Council of Southwest Louisiana, and SNAP Education and Training, as well as CPPJ’s Housing Counseling, LiHEAP, WIOA and Emergency Rental Assistance programs.
“We at the American Job Center take our work in the community seriously. This Resource Fair is another way that we work to get information and services out to the community,” said Nypheteria Clophus, Region V One Stop Operator Manager.
