“Movies Under the Stars” is back!
Join us on Friday, Oct. 14 for the movie, “Goosebumps," at Mallard Junction Park. After moving to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) meets the cute girl next door, Hannah (Odeya Rush). She’s the daughter of author R.L Stine (Jack Black), who penned the best-selling “Goosebumps” series. However, when the real monsters are mistakenly released from the pages of the Goosebumps books, the three must figure out how to lock them back into the books where they belong.
The movie will start at 6 p.m. Be sure to get there early to get the best spots. Residents are encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs and food, but there will be vendors present at every movie. Also, free popcorn and cotton candy will be served at the event.
Movie-goers are also invited to wear family-friendly Halloween costumes to each movie.
The movie be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. The cancellation will be announced before the event on the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s website at calcasieuparish.gov and on CPPJ’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
