Movies Under the Stars wraps up its spring series on Friday, April 28 with "Encanto."

This 2021 Disney computer-animated musical fantasy-comedy follows a family – the Madrigals -- who live in a magical house in the charming town of Encanto in the Colombian mountains. All the members of this multi-generational family each have magical gifts -- with the exception of one, Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only “ordinary” Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope (Rated PG).

This movie will be shown at River Bluff Park, located 543 Theriot Road, Moss Bluff.

The movie will be canceled in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced before the event on the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s website at calcasieu.gov and on CPPJ’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
