Get ready to carve out some Halloween excitement at the final “Movies Under the Stars” in October.
On Friday, Oct. 27, – “ make sure to catch "Coco:” Despite his family's decades-old music ban, young Miguel (voiced by Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). In an effort to prove his talent, Miguel winds up in the colorful “Land of the Dead,” where he meets a charming con artist named Héctor. The two then embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history (Rated PG).
This movie will be shown at River Bluff Park, 543 Theriot Road, Moss Bluff.
The movie will start at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to get there early to get the best spots. Residents are encouraged to bring their own blankets, lawn chairs and food. Free popcorn and cotton candy will be served at each event.
Movie-goers are also invited to wear family-friendly Halloween costumes to each movie.
The movie will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced before the event on the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury’s website at calcasieu.gov and on CPPJ’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
