The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Human Services Department is hosting a special event to educate seniors and small business owners about health benefits and programs available to them. The event is entitled “The Health Care Law and You” and a keynote presentation will be given on the Health Care Reform Act covering the following topics:

The event will also cover information related to the the Affordable Care Act, which places strong consumer protections, provides new coverage options and gives citizens tools they need to make informed choices about their health.
