Post Date:11/02/2009

Due to the recent heavy rain and the large volume of water being discharged from Toledo Bend Dam, flooding along the Sabine River is expected, according to the Calcasieu Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness.

On Tuesday November 3rd, moderate flooding along the Sabine River is expected. The river will be at least 2 feet above flood stage.

On Thursday November 5th major flooding is expected as the river reaches 4 feet above flood stage. The river is expected to remain at this level for at least several days.
