The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury (CPPJ) has announced the start of surveying in the Lacassine Bayou Basin and the Sabine River Basin, as part of the Storm Water Master Plan project to address flooding issues in Calcasieu Parish.
C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates, a regional engineering firm, in association with ECM Consultants, has been contracted to conduct field studies and engineering analysis to find the best possible solutions to local flooding problems. The project will involve field surveys in the Vinton, Starks, Hayes, Holmwood and Bell City areas. Residents are asked to show their cooperation to field surveyors who will be gathering the critical field data to properly develop the study. The surveying portion of the project is expected to last from, April 2010 through June 2010.
