Services

The Records Department has several ongoing responsibilities, including the following:

  • Prepare, publish, transmit, and preserve official documents of the Police Jury, including minutes, resolutions, and ordinances
  • Maintain special service district (drainage, fire, water, recreation, etc.) information such as board listings, attendance records, creation documents, and copies of board minutes
  • Publish and update the Special Service District Board Member Manual and the Police Jury Operational Policies Manual
  • Prepare Police Juror correspondence
  • Handle parishwide elections in accordance with provisions of state law
  • Assist in administration of polling place and voting precinct boundary designations
  • Research past action by the Police Jury as requested by the public or staff
