Ron Hayes is serving his second term representing District 6 and is the current Vice President for 2024.

Mr. Hayes and his wife Lynette, have three children - Ryan, Reese and Lauren Marsten. 

He is a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School and McNeese State University.

Mr. Hayes has served as president or board member of several organizations, including the Calcasieu Parish School Board, Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA ) - Louisiana and National Chapters, United Way of Southwest Louisiana, West Calcasieu Chamber of Commerce, National Public Risk Management Association, Louisiana School Insurance Group, SWLA Life Underwriters Association and the McNeese Cowboy Club.

He attends Sale Street Baptist Church where he serves as chairman of the Long-Range Planning Committee. He also teaches Sunday School.
