A lifelong resident of Calcasieu Parish, Mary Kaye is serving her first full term as a police juror, representing District 8 in South Lake Charles. She and her husband, Michael, have two daughters and four granddaughters. Twice a graduate of McNeese State University, Mary Kaye holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration.
Mary Kaye’s record of service in Southwest Louisiana includes her 30-year career at McNeese as Director of Student Financial Aid; Instructor of Management, Marketing and General Business; University Internship Coordinator; and Instructor of Innovation Engineering. She previously served interim appointments on the Police Jury (2005) and the Calcasieu Parish School Board (2006). She also chaired the Calcasieu Parish Go Group for Public Service Improvements from 2015-2018 and served as an appointed member of the Lake Charles Regional Airport Authority from 2007-2023.
Mary Kaye is an active member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, where she has served as a member of the Pastoral Council and as a teaching member of the RCIA team. She currently serves as vice president for the Republican Women of Southwest Louisiana. In her spare time, she enjoys playing golf, hiking, and spending time with her family.
