Currently serving his second term representing District 9, Anthony Bartie is the President of the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for 2024. He and his wife, Cecelia, have one daughter and six grandchildren. Mr. Bartie is a Notary Public with an extensive background in finance, broadcast media, and the transportation industry.
An active member of Throne of Grace Fellowship Church, he also serves on the Advisory Board of Catholic Charities of Southwest Louisiana. His affiliations include Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Pi, the National Notary Association, and the National Association of Counties (NACO) Workforce Development Steering Committee, where he serves as Vice Chair. Mr. Bartie represents the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury on Parishes Against Coastal Erosion (PACE) and manages the Mid City Little League White Sox.
A graduate of South Cameron High School, he continued his education at McNeese State University, the LSU Graduate School of Banking, and the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma.
In his spare time, Mr. Bartie enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
