Services
The Records Department has several ongoing responsibilities, including the following:
- Prepare, publish, transmit, and preserve official documents of the Police Jury, including minutes, resolutions, and ordinances
- Maintain special service district (drainage, fire, water, recreation, etc.) information such as board listings, attendance records, creation documents, and copies of board minutes
- Publish and update the Special Service District Board Member Manual and the Police Jury Operational Policies Manual
- Prepare Police Juror correspondence
- Handle parishwide elections in accordance with provisions of state law
- Assist in administration of polling place and voting precinct boundary designations
- Research past action by the Police Jury as requested by the public or staff
