Generally an early summer equals SNAKES and so we tend to get calls into our facility with concerns of which are poisonous, what do you do if bitten, where to go for closest treatment, etc. With this said, we have provided information below to help our community become more familiar with the type of snakes we have here in our lovely state of Louisiana.

Louisiana has 7 major habitats that contribute to the diversity of wildlife. There are a number of reptiles in Louisiana that have preferred habitats and can only be found in one type of area, while other species can be found throughout the state.
