The 2011 Right-of-Way Preservation Map and Thoroughfare Plan designates roads throughout the parish as State Arterial, Urban Collector, Rural Collector, or Local.

These designations determine the necessary right of way for future roadway expansions and to provide adequate maintenance to properly accommodate future commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
