Creative Services is the Police Jury’s in-house art department and sign shop. It produces all the signs for parish-owned buildings, parks and vehicles. It also creates logos and report covers and it oversees the use of the parish logo.

 Another of Creative Service's important responsibilities is the production of the regulatory street signs required by the Public Works Department for the unincorporated areas of the parish. These signs are produced in substantial volume, which reduces overall costs and ensures timely delivery.

Highlights

The timely production of graphics and signage has resulted in the increased use of services by different agencies of Calcasieu Parish along with other parishes. Cameron Parish, Lake Charles Harbor and Terminal District, Calcasieu Parish Fire Districts, Gravity Drainage Districts and Recreation Districts have joint service agreements with Calcasieu Parish to purchase regulatory and facility signs from Creative Services. The department has been featured in newspaper and magazine articles and in numerous television reports. It was also awarded a Bronze ADDY award for the design and production of the Prien Lake Park entrance sign.

Creative Services is a member of the International Sign Association and the United States Sign Council. Memberships in both of these organizations ensure that Creative Services stays up-to-date with current industry trends and codes.
