Doing Business with the Police Jury
Purchasing is part of the Finance Department and is responsible for providing purchasing services to all Parish Departments and Special Service Districts.
Purchasing follows the guidelines of the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Procurement Policy for the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, construction activity and professional or other services. Additionally, bid preparation assistance is provided.

Vendors who do business with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury are required to complete Federal Form W-9, the Request for Taxpayer Identification Number. The Parish is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to collect this information to meet IRS filing regulations. Vendors receiving $600 or more in payments in a calendar year will receive a Form 1099 Misc., Miscellaneous Income form. Vendors submitting invoices to the Parish must have a current Federal Form W-9 on file with the Finance Department.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has adopted a mandatory electronic bidding policy. This policy requires all bids to be electronically posted. However, the bids may be submitted electronically or by paper unless specifically noted in the bid documents. Please register for Electronic Bidding.

Pursuant to State requirements for cybersecurity training all Parish vendors accessing Parish on-premise technology are required to complete cybersecurity training. Please complete the Cyber Security Attestation Request Form, which will capture this information into the Parish document management system for reporting purposes.
