To help determine if you need counseling, a new online tool allows you to virtually experience real-life situations, make decisions and see the consequences.

Parish counseling sessions are confidential and free of charge. They include:

• Options to avoid foreclosure
• The foreclosure process
• Avoiding foreclosure "rescue" scams
• Designing an "action" plan
• Guidance to negotiate with the lender
• Guidance with foreclosure mediation
