A social service counselor provides suicide-risk assessments and daily staffing on all juveniles detained in the Juvenile Detention Center. Individual and group services focusing on anger management, motivation for change, and building social skills are provided to the juveniles by the counselor. 

Innovative programs are utilized within the detention center setting to motivate the clients towards better decision-making upon their return to their home and community.
